inflight entertainment ...yahoo brought me that today ...high cost, low use, poof, gone!! ...soon to be seen inflight ...the seat back! Some want 120v a/c or usb hookups in the planes. Some want wifi (some have that).

I might be anxious about hooking my beloved laptop to the plane's electric which may zap it with too much juice
...I wish laptops and many other devices were like my old trusty electric toothbrush ...to prevent you getting charred in the bathroom, the cordless electric toothbrush sits in a charger base that does it by the magic of induction...
...now here's a business plan ...make laptops with induction capable batteries (or sell replacement batteries with that or some sort of induction flat thingy that fits into the laptop bag or sticks to the bottom of it) and rent induction chargers in airports, airplanes, etc. You put it in a chair/desk or into the tray and all you need is the place to put the quarters or swipe the credit card, and voilà! ...you could do your laptop and your cellfone too!! ...even your electric toothbrush!
I'll be a millionaire in a jiffy with that one, septin4 that I don't know a thing about business or implementation nor do I have any chums who are connected to the elite who decide such things!
...so, in the words of Gilda Radner ... "never mind."

well...inflight entertainment lives again ...how come? On our last flight USAirways had us in an old airbus that had tv screens hooked to the seatback of every seat ...none worked at all... 9 hours in an old airbus (what a term ...should be air-cattle-car) ...but, there's hope ...I went out (not really, went on ebay) and got myself a new (not really, it's used) windows mobile phone ...well, there's now a 16gb card in it (that's 16000x the size of the HDD in my first laptop), and I have 32 movies on it to watch on the plane! ...I spoze I'll need a pocketfull of batteries for that!!
